West Brunswick plays its first road game tonight. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at North Myrtle Beach (1-1).
The Trojans (2-0) have won home games with South Brunswick (34-14) and Whiteville (38-21).
Trojans running back/linebacker JaQuell Davis will be in the unique position of facing the program he played for in 2024. Davis is averaging 167.0 yards rushing per game.
What will be important if West is to get to 3-0?
“Start fast,” said Trojans coach Shane Handy. “Play fundamental football and take care of the football on offense.
“Defensively, running to the football and tackling.”
The Chiefs operate from a one back set.
“They run counter and iso,” Handy said.
