Shallotte Middle School has recognized its top male and female athletes for the recently completed school year.
Marquise Stanley was Male Athlete of the Year for the Pirates. He played football. basketball and competed in track and field.
The Female Athlete of the Year award went to Keniyah Brown, who played soccer, basketball, softball and competed in track and field.
Shallotte won championships in girls soccer, girls lacrosse, softball and wrestling in 2024-25.
