The Shallotte Middle School girls basketball team won the Brunswick County basketball tournament.
The Lady Pirates topped Town Creek, 22-21, in the semifinals at Cedar Grove on February 5.
Shallotte defeated South Brunswick, 21-10, for the championship on February 6.
The Lady Pirates finished the season with one loss.
The Shallotte boys were seeded fifth for the conference tournament, but did not get to play when the tournament schedule was compacted due to snow days.
