— Argentina rallied with goals in the 85th (Enzo Fernandez) and 92nd (Lautaro Martinez) minutes to top England, 2-1, in a World Cup soccer semifinal in Atlanta on Wednesday.

— France and England meet for third place in the World Cup in Miami on Saturday (FOX, 5 p.m.).

— Spain and Argentina play for the World Cup championship in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday (FOX, 3 p.m.).

— The British Open is underway at Royal Birkdale in Southport, Great Britain (USA Network).

— The ACC will institute a new tiebreaker system to determine teams in its league championship in football. Head-to-head results will be the first criteria, progressing to overall performance evaluated within an established metric. Some teams will play eight conference games in 2026 and some will play nine but that will not be a deciding factor.

— The East-West All-Star soccer games will be Tuesday night at Truist Stadium in High Point with girls at 6:30 p.m. and boys at 8:30 p.m.
