West Brunswick took a 13-3 win in six innings over visiting South Stanly in the first round of the Beach Diamond Invitational on Monday night at Mike Alderson Field.
“Great effort top to bottom offensively,” said Trojans coach Greg Wrape. “Connor Wilkerson and Elijah Robinson did a great job on the mound.”
Wilkerson and Robinson pitched three innings each.
The Trojans (8-7) scored three runs in the bottom of the first and took control with eight runs in the fourth.
Matthew Argo had two hits and two RBIs for West. Cooper Wilson hsd two hits and scored three runs.
Griffin Cox had a hit and two RBIs. Jaden Gore and Wesley Wilson each had a double and an RBI.
Fisher Hair had a hit, drew two walks and scored twice. Cayden Wood had a hit and scored a run.
The Trojans take on Richmond County (11-3) in the semifinals on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
